Regular inspection is an essential part of vehicle care and ensures that your Audi always remains in perfect condition. By carrying out the inspection, possible wear parts are detected at an early stage and problems are rectified before they lead to major damage. This not only increases the safety and reliability of your vehicle, but also helps to maintain the value of your Audi in the long term. In this article, you will learn why the inspection is important, what is checked during it and what the costs are.

Audi Inspection – These costs are incurred
Unfortunately, we could not get any figures from Audi, because the costs for the Audi inspection can be determined by the service partners themselves. In addition, regionally different billing rates are used, which is why it is not possible to make a general statement about the costs for the Audi inspection.
What we can say, however, is that you have to expect about 250 to 400 euros per inspection. In addition, there may be costs for liquids such as oil.
It is also not possible to give a general indication of the costs for the VW inspection.
When to go to the Audi inspection?
For most popular Audi models such as the A3, A1 Q3 or Q5, you have to be serviced every 30,000 kilometers or every two years, whichever comes first. Depending on how high the mileage is at the next Audi service, an oil change or other additional work such as changing the spark plugs may be necessary.
The Audi electric cars must all be inspected for an e-car inspection after 2 years without a mileage limit – except for the Q8 e-tron and the e-tron, which also have a 30,000 kilometer or 2-year limit.
How much does the service cost at Audi?
Since service, maintenance and inspection are the same in the end and we unfortunately cannot give an exact name for the costs, we can also estimate the service costs for Audi at only about 250 to 400 euros.
Audi Maintenance and Inspection – What is done?
At each inspection, there is a specific maintenance plan that is processed. At Audi, the contents of the inspection always depend on the vehicle type and equipment. In addition, necessary work is carried out depending on the mileage.
Examples of possible additional work:

Brake fluid | Every 2 years |
Dust and pollen filters | 60,000km/2 years (combustion engine)
2 years (BEV) |
Spark plug | 60,000km/6 years *) |
Air filter | *) |
Additional work marked with *) may have different running and time intervals due to variances in the model and equipment.
Other examples of additional work can be (depending on the model):
- Water drain test panoramic sunroof
- Diesel particulate filter Reading out ash skes
- Change Premium Air bottle
- Changing the fuel filter
- Changing the dual-clutch transmission automatic transmission oil
- Haldex oil change

Audi 60,000 km inspection
As already described above, the dust and pollen filter and a spark plug change during the 60,000 km inspection at Audi are necessary, among other things. In addition, all work that is regularly required in a 2-year rhythm.
Audi maintenance and inspection – is it worth it?
In any case, you should regularly drive your Audi for inspections – but depending on how old your vehicle is, you can consider whether to visit an authorized workshop or an independent workshop.
As a general rule, if the inspection interval is exceeded, the mobility guarantee expires. Depending on the individual case, this only has a negative effect on the warranty (within the first 24 months) if there is a causal connection with the overrun or non-performed service. There is therefore a risk that you will no longer be entitled to a warranty – so an inspection is worthwhile.
